This project is intentionally lightweight. The public site is built to work without forcing readers to create accounts or hand over more information than necessary.
Information collected on the public site
- Standard server logs such as IP address, browser information, and request timing
- Comment form submissions when readers choose to post comments
- Local browser storage for saved stories, planner drafts, compare sets, and UI preferences
What local browser features do
Some convenience features save data only in the visitor's current browser. That can include saved stories, saved guides, compare sets, and recently viewed items. This data is not treated like a full account system and may disappear if the browser storage is cleared.
